Is Teeth Whitening Right For You?
Most people can achieve meaningful improvements with teeth whitening, but it isn’t suitable for everyone. Whitening only works on natural teeth, so any dental work will not change color. Results may vary depending on your natural tooth shade, and whether staining is present. Also, if you have a buildup of plaque, your teeth may require cleaning before whitening in order to achieve the best result.
We’ve developed a simple, 3-step screening process that allows us to determine—before you even step into our office—whether whitening is the right option for you.
- Take three photos of your teeth
- Fill in your name, birth year, and contact information.
- upload your photos, and click "submit"...
...and your done! It's simple, fast, and free. We'll review your pics and follow up with you by the next business day.
Please note that this is a preliminary screening. New Jersey law requires dentists to conduct an in-person exam prior to administering teeth whitening or other treatments.
Tips For Taking Your Pictures
- Use bright lighting + flash
- Keep photos clear and in focus
- Show all teeth (front to back)
- Have someone help if possible
We'll need three photos in all:
1 - A front view of your smile:
- Make sure there is sufficient light.
- Smile naturally with teeth together
- Keep your full smile centered, in focus
- Use your fingers to expose more of your teeth, as shown
2 - A view of your upper teeth:
- Tilt your head slightly back
- Open wide
- If teeth are largely obstructed, use fingers or a spoon to lift your upper lip
- Make sure all top teeth are visible
3 - A view of your lower teeth:
- Tilt your chin down
- Open wide
- Pull your lower lip down, if needed to show the teeth as pictured
- Capture all bottom teeth clearly
